SHANGHAI, May 11 (SMM) - On May 11, the port transportation was limited as the Jiangyin port has been significantly affected by the worsen pandemic in Wuxi. According to research, the pandemic had limited impact on the 201 stainless steel. Many manufacturers said that the goods had been unloaded at the port before the May Day holiday. At present, the logistics from Jiangyin to Wuxi has not been greatly affected, and the downstream still purchased as needed. 430 stainless steel is mainly transported by railway, so basically has not affected by the pandemic. Prices of series 2 and 4 cold-rolled coil (Wuxi) were basically flat. The guiding prices of 201 J1 cold-rolled coil (Wuxi) were 10,700-10,800 yuan/mt while the guiding prices of J2/J5 cold-rolled coil (Wuxi) were 10,000-10,200 yuan/mt. The guiding prices of 430 cold-rolled coil (Wuxi) were 9,650-9,700 yuan/mt. Some steel mills used materials from Shandong Taijia, so the prices will be slightly lower than the guide prices.
