Vance & Hines is known for its aftermarket performance parts, and officially entered the adventurous market with the introduction of exhaust systems for the new Harley Pan America and BMW R1250GS machines. Obviously, the American manufacturer has just started, promising to provide more performance parts for other popular ADV models in the coming months.

"We are making significant investments in the off-road area," said Mike Kennedy, the company's president. "Our research and development capabilities have been expanded to prepare for our growth in this field."

The first is the Adventure Hi-Output 450 system, designed for Pan American car owners who want to release more power and reduce the weight of their machines. As a result, the product released more than 5 additional ponies and 5 foot pounds of torque, while also reducing the overall weight of Harley powered by Revolution Max by nearly 6 pounds. In addition, the system also provides bicycles with what the company calls "Vance & Hines Iconic Exhaust Instructions" that meet the 50-state emission standards.

Pan America's high-performance exhaust adopts V&H's unique appearance design. A huge 4.5-inch stepped high-output tank is made of 304 grade stainless steel, with brushed finish and ceramic coating, and CNC machined blank aluminum end caps. The riveted badge shows a new laser-engraved logo graphic that will be used in all Vance & Hines ADV and off-road products. For the rider's comfort, the design of the middle tube aims to increase the boot gap when the rider is standing on the pile.

The exhaust devices of R1250GS and GSA are the company's second products in this category. The system is called Adventure Hi-Output 500 and uses a 5-inch diameter 304 stainless steel pipe, making it the largest-capacity exhaust unit in the history of Vance & Hines. Unlike the Pan American system, the company did not provide specific power gain figures for the product. Nevertheless, they did mention that it increases horsepower and torque, while also providing smooth handleable torque throughout the power band. According to V&H, the weight of the sliding sleeve is also lower than the exhaust gas.

Other features include wire drawing, tooling style finishes, CNC machined billet aluminum end caps, black heat shield, stainless steel middle tube, spring clip assembly and Vance & Hines new adventure badge. The core design of the glass-wrapped perforated baffle is also designed to provide a rich, smooth rumble while still meeting 50 state emission standards.

The Vance & Hines Adventure Hi-Output 450 system for Pan American is priced at $599.99 and is currently available through retail stores. However, BMW owners will have to wait longer for their machines, because the Hi-Output 500, priced at $699.99, will be available later this year.
