Product Introduction
1.2316 is a martensitic stainless steel with high hardenability (good wear resistance) and excellent resistance to cold atmospheric corrosion and hot oxidation ( 660ºC).
It also has good resistance to chemical products.
Features
Medium-carbon high-Chromium martensite stainless steel mould steel
Good mechanical properties, high hardenability, low distortion during heat treatment
Hardness can be obtained up to 48-52HRC with proper heat treatment in order to obtain better polishability, corrosion resistance and wear resistance.
Soft Annealing : 760 - 780 oC, cooling in furnace, max hardness HB230
Hardening : 1020-1050 oC, in oil or hot bath 500-550 oC
Hardness : after quenching HRc49
Tempering
Applications
The conditions of the materials vary from pre-hardened, hot rolled,annealed, quenched and tempered to surface conditions such as black, pre-machined,griding and polish.
